Call for Workshop

Kyoto, Japan (November 1, 2024) – The 2025 Symposium on VLSI Technology and Circuits announces a Call for Workshop topics in support of the conference theme: “Cultivating the VLSI Garden: From Seeds of Innovation to Thriving Growth.” The workshop sessions are designed to merge cutting edge research in areas that have not been covered in detail in the Symposium technical program, and could serve as topics for future Symposium sessions. The workshop sessions will be held in person during the Symposium.

The deadline for the workshop submission for the Symposium is January 6, 2025 at 23:59 JST, with acceptance notification in January 2025.

The Symposium on VLSI Technology and Circuits seeks proposals for workshop submissions with the following information required :

  • Title of the workshop and description
  • Organizers (brief biographies and affiliations)
  • Topics (potential presentation segments) and potential speakers with 100-to-200-word abstract
  • Potential topics include but are not limited to,

  • Required circuits and systems for LLM inference,
  • Manufacturing with AI,
  • Circuits for security and secure circuits,
  • Sensors for environmental sensing,
  • Heterogenious System integration including HBM, Packaging and EDA tools.

  • The 2025 Symposium on VLSI Technology and Circuits is scheduled from June 8 – 12, 2025 in Kyoto, Japan. Held as a five-day at the Rihga Royal Hotel, as well as selected presentations and panel sessions, the Symposium will feature advanced VLSI technology developments, innovative circuit designs, and the applications they enable, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, IoT, wearable/implantable biomedical applications, big data, cloud / edge computing, virtual reality (VR) / augmented reality (AR), robotics, and autonomous vehicles.

    The weeklong Symposium will continue its reputation as the microelectronics industry’s premiere international conference integrating technology, circuits, and systems with a range and scope unlike any other conferences. In addition to the technical presentations, the Symposium program will feature a demonstration session, evening panel discussions, joint focus sessions, short courses, workshops, and a special forum session that provides a focused discussion on a specific topic relevant to the Symposium theme.

  • Time: 3pm to 5 pm or 6pm, 2 or 3 hours
  • Maximum 6 parallel workshops
